Supporting Recovery Every Step of the Way

At Serenita, every aspect of the care environment, from our extensive activity programme to our tranquil gardens and comfortable accommodation, is designed to support recovery, maintain health, and foster meaningful relationships.

ARBD Care

Our support for individuals with Alcohol-Related Brain Damage focuses on addressing the complex cognitive and physical effects of long-term alcohol misuse. We use a structured 3 Step Enablement Programme that encourages residents to regain life skills, autonomy, and sobriety. Activities and therapies are carefully tailored to individual abilities and preferences, fostering mental stimulation and physical wellbeing in a secure, compassionate setting.

Wernicke Encephalopathy Care

At Serenita, we provide specialised support for residents recovering from Wernicke Encephalopathy, a neurological condition caused by vitamin deficiencies common in heavy drinkers. Early identification and treatment are critical, and our clinical team works closely with external health providers to administer vitamin replacement therapies alongside rehabilitation. Our aim is to manage symptoms effectively while promoting a path to recovery within a calm and supportive environment.

Korsakoff Syndrome Care

Korsakoff Syndrome, often resulting from untreated Wernicke Encephalopathy, can involve severe memory impairments and confusion. Our care approach emphasises consistency, structured routines, and personalised memory support strategies. We create a stable environment where residents feel secure and understood, enabling them to live as comfortably and independently as possible with dignity.

Mental Health Care

Our mental health care provision recognises the varied and often overlapping challenges faced by residents. We collaborate with healthcare professionals to craft individualised care plans that address emotional wellbeing, behavioural support, and psychiatric needs. Our holistic approach ensures residents receive empathetic, skilled care aimed at stabilising and improving mental health while fostering social inclusion.

Admission times vary depending on assessments and availability. We aim to proceed as quickly as possible while ensuring the care needs and preferences of each individual are thoroughly understood.
