At Serenita, our Alcohol-Related Brain Damage (ARBD) care focuses on supporting those who experience cognitive and physical difficulties caused by long-term alcohol misuse. Through our structured 3 Step Enablement Programme, residents receive tailored support to regain control of their lives and rebuild daily living skills. One-to-One ARBD Support at Serenita

Each resident at Serenita ARBD Care Home is paired with a dedicated Key Worker who offers personalised one-to-one support designed around their unique circumstances, ambitions and personal development goals.

Residents have the freedom to decide how they use their individual support sessions. Whether it’s assistance with shopping, job searching, housing applications, attending appointments, participating in local community activities, enjoying a walk or simply having a supportive conversation, our team is committed to providing meaningful and responsive support. Regular sessions provide an opportunity for residents to review their progress, discuss their preferences and identify the support that will best help them move forward. Together, residents and Key Workers agree on a personal goal to work towards over a six-month period, with ongoing encouragement and practical support provided throughout the journey.

As part of our person-centred and holistic approach, we also offer individual therapeutic support alongside group therapy sessions. These services are designed to promote emotional wellbeing, strengthen resilience and help residents develop greater confidence in themselves and their future.

Serenita is much more than a care home; it’s a vibrant community where warmth and respect define everyday life. Residents enjoy comfortable, personalised living spaces and a variety of meaningful activities designed to engage their interests and support their wellbeing. We regularly work with local allotment, gardening, and litter-picking groups to helping residents make a positively engage with their community while developing new skills and friendships.

Residents also attend arts, crafts and music groups, as well as enjoying regular visits to a local leisure centre for swimming and exercise. Developing everyday life skills is encouraged through taking an active role in their home environment, whether it be cooking groups, doing their own laundry or maintaining the garden. Our dedicated team fosters an atmosphere of kindness and encouragement, welcoming friends and family to be part of the journey. Together, we create a place where every person feels valued and at home.
